Big's Backyard Ultra 2025 — also known as Big Dog's Backyard Ultra — was held October 18 at Lazarus Lake's farm in Bell Buckle, Tennessee. One of the most prestigious backyard ultras in the world and the de facto world championship of the last-one-standing format. Runners complete a 4.167-mile loop every hour (trail during daylight, road at night) until only one remains. Phil Gore won the 2025 world championship, completing 114 loops and covering over 475 miles across nearly five days. Below is a full lap pacing and DNF breakdown.
